Job Title: Sr. Firmware Engineer - AI/Machine Learning at Vertiv

Job Summary:

Join Vertiv as a Sr. Firmware Engineer specializing in AI/ML and be a part of our innovative Global Thermal Management team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to engage with cross-disciplinary teams and contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of firmware for thermal control products integrated with advanced machine learning applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect neural networks for embedded applications in microcontrollers and microprocessors.
• Utilize edge AI technologies and apply comprehensive knowledge of machine learning principles such as MLP, CNN, and SNN models.
• Develop and integrate high-quality, safety-critical C/C++ code for real-time embedded platforms.
• Create robust software architectures and firmware solutions aimed at exceptional quality and high-volume manufacturability.
• Lead firmware design and development across multiple facets including AI optimization, predictive diagnostics, and operational enhancements.
• Collaborate with various teams including engineering, marketing, and management to ensure project alignment with business goals and timelines.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and manage sustained engineering efforts for product enhancements and issue resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in firmware development, with proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Strong background in real-time operating systems, machine learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and embedded microcontroller environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of coding best practices.
• Experience with tools such as Git, Rally, and various IDEs like ST32CubeIDE™ and Eclipse® is preferred.
