Amazon Web Services is looking for an experienced Sr. Software Development Manager to lead our Machine Learning Distributed Training team within the revolutionary AWS Neuron project. This role centers on advancing and managing cutting-edge software solutions using AWS Inferentia and Trainium accelerators, and Trn1 and Inf1 servers. If you excel in developing machine learning products and have a track record of direct customer interaction, we want you onboard!

Key Job Responsibilities

As a leader in our dynamic team, you will oversee the entire development cycle of integrations and enhancements aimed at improving inference and training capabilities in frameworks like Pytorch, XLA, and JAX. Your role includes:

  • Advancing large-scale ML models such as GPT3, BERT, and Stable Diffusion.
  • Ensuring essential ML functionalities are supported on combined chip/software platforms.
  • Driving end-to-end solutions that meet customer needs effectively.

A Day in the Life

Collaborate with AWS's executive leadership to define and execute product strategies, creating solutions that align with massive-scale distributed training and inference. This role requires a balance between leadership, technical prowess, and visionary thinking.

Basic Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of engineering and software development experience.
