About the Experimentation and Decision Science Team

At Coupang, the Experimentation and Decision Science team is at the forefront of driving strategic decision-making across various products. As a Data Scientist in this team, your role will involve collaborating with diverse stakeholders including product teams, analytics, engineering, and business leaders to enhance product strategies and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and uphold high scientific standards for product decision-making processes.
• Advance our understanding and methodologies in decision science by addressing challenges such as risk versus velocity trade-offs.
• Play a crucial role in product launch reviews and streamline the product launch processes at Coupang.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in product and data science, including at least 4 years focusing on product data science and data-driven decision-making with high-level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design and analysis, including A/B testing.
• Proficiency in data manipulation tools like SQL and Python or other similar querying languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a Quantitative field.
• Experience in e-commerce data science, with a focus on product data.
