As a Staff CPU Design Verification Engineer, Silicon, you will play a crucial role in shaping the systems at the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with verification methodologies and languages such as UVM and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience developing and maintaining verification testbenches, test cases, and test environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a focus on computer architecture.
  • Experience with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), SystemVerilog, or other scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Bash, etc.
  • Knowledge of general-purpose operating systems such as Linux and Android.
  • Familiarity with ARM Instruction Set Architecture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform design verification for future CPU developments.
  • Build functional verification infrastructure, including unit, multi-unit, core, and subsystem level verification environments.
  • Produce diagnostic code repositories that support the production of high-quality CPUs.
  • Conduct functional verification and performance validation for both pre-silicon and post-silicon stages.
  • Develop test plans for functional units and subsystems.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end design, architecture, and performance teams to ensure architectural compliance, functional correctness, and performance goals.
  • Analyze coverage from various dimensions and develop monitors and checkers for better quality assurance.

Compensation and Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$266,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
