Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Scientist at Collibra, you will:

  • Monitor the AI/ML landscape, staying current with new techniques and algorithms.
  • Translate academic concepts into practical solutions for specific business needs.
  • Develop, operationalize, and support AI/ML models to generate actionable insights.
  • Assess algorithmic results for quality, adaptability, and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Collibra's AI and ML platforms to enhance data products.

Qualifications

You bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in data and AI/ML projects, particularly for business functions utilizing advanced techniques. Proficiency in NLP and neural networks preferred.
  • Expertise in Python and its data science modules for efficient solution development.
  • An educational background in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience with the mathematical principles behind Generative AI technologies and a background in building LLM applications.
  • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and query authoring.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Success Metrics

Your success in this role will be measured by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with Collibra's data platform and products within the first month.
  • Starting to develop new AI/ML models and data products for Discovery projects by the third month.
  • Collaborating with delivery teams to operationalize and deploy solutions into production by the sixth month.

Compensation

The standard base salary range for this position is $160,800 to $201,000 per year. This role does not qualify for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are determined based on a combination of factors, including experience, skills, and location.
