About the Experimentation and Decision Science Team:

Situated at the core of Coupang's innovative framework, the Experimentation and Decision Science team is crucial to strategic decision-making across our diverse product lines. In your role as a Data Scientist within this team, you'll engage with a variety of stakeholders from product managers and engineers to business leaders and executives, crafting data-driven solutions that enhance our product strategies through rigorous causal inference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and uphold the highest data science standards for product decision-making.
• Advance our decision-making processes and risk assessment capabilities in collaboration with key stakeholders and the Experimentation platform team.
• Optimize product launch protocols and contribute to critical review sessions at Coupang.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, or Business, or a similar level of professional experience.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in product and data science, including at least 3 years focusing specifically on product data science.
• Demonstrated skill in decision-making facilitation among senior stakeholders using data.
• Proven proficiency in experimental design and analysis, including A/B testing.
• Strong capability with data manipulation tools including SQL, Python, or other programming/query languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, providing deeper exposure to theoretical and applied aspects of data science.
• Experience specifically within the e-commerce sector, leveraging data to drive product innovation and business success.
