Job Opportunity: Streetlighting Design Technician

Location: Mississauga, ON

AECOM is actively seeking a skilled and creative Streetlighting Design Technician for immediate employment. Join a team that tackles exciting and challenging projects, providing transformative solutions to our clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design traffic signals and illumination for various clients
• Prepare lighting and traffic signal layouts
• Develop wiring diagrams and electrical details
• Conduct photometric analysis of lighting systems
• Perform voltage drop calculations
• Prepare contract documents and specifications
• Conduct site visits and manage contract administration

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical or Associate's degree in a related field
• 2 years of experience in street lighting design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience (traffic signals and roadway lighting)
• Knowledge of AutoLUX and other lighting calculation programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Understanding of various municipal and MTO design standards
