About the Role

As a Systems Design Engineer in our Systems Engineering (SE) team, you will collaborate extensively with our Project Management Office (PMO) to drive business value through advanced autonomous solutions. Your role will focus on designing and integrating OTTO AMR systems, developing workflows, and delivering comprehensive training to integration partners and end-users.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clarify and define customer requirements for system designs
  • Lead detailed AMR system designs to meet bespoke client needs
  • Oversee simulation processes and validate design inputs
  • Manage and execute acceptance test plans to ensure system functionality and performance
  • Lead software design projects to integrate various automation systems within the client facilities
  • Drive project planning and communicate technical details to stakeholders
  • Deliver on-site system deployment and integration support

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop new product requirements and improvements from field experiences
  • Share knowledge and consult with the internal team to enhance tools and processes
  • Travel across North America, Europe, and Asia for project requirements (25-35% travel)

Who You Are

You are a dynamic systems design engineer with a passion for automation and a knack for problem-solving. With over three years of experience in designing and integrating complex industrial systems, you possess advanced skills in project management, clear communication, and analytical thinking. You're familiar with Linux and have experience in programming (Python, C++, etc.), PLC design, and industrial equipment integration. Your proactive approach and customer-centric mindset make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Bonus Points: Experience with data analysis, inductive automation ignition OPC/UA software, Rockwell FT Optix, Jira, and Epicore software solutions.
