Job Description

Parsons is seeking a talented Information Systems Solution/Data Architect to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of Tableau, Tableau Prep Builder, and data analytics tools to convert construction data and processes into compelling visual graphics and dashboards. These visuals will enhance performance and support the successful delivery of top-tier construction projects for the US Navy and US Marine Corps.

Required Skills and Education

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Tableau and Tableau Prep Builder (developer) and three (3) years using Power BI or equivalent database applications.
  • Experience in importing various source data, creating graphic data representations and dashboards, integrating data for queries and reports, and exporting/publishing to interface with other programs (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Experience in preparing construction-related dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheet and data automation software is highly desirable.
  • A degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university, architecture from a NAAB-accredited university, an MBA from an accredited program, or a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Development.
  • A minimum of five (5) years, or equivalent, experience performing relevant tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Build and create data visualization dashboards using data from various sources in Tableau and Tableau Prep Builder.
  • Ensure stakeholders receive the necessary support and are informed about program initiatives, interdependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Conduct data analytics to monitor, analyze, and synthesize numerous reports, timelines, trends, and interdependencies for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify critical external and internal decision and data input points and provide timely reminders/warnings to management.
  • Generate reports and documentation associated with project/program objectives.

Required Skills

  • Excellent executive-level writing and brief preparation skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to senior leaders.
  • Strong analytics skills with the ability to analyze raw data from multiple sources and develop applicable reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Ability to adapt to new software used by the government (e.g., eCMS, Tableau, eContracts, eProjects).
  • Strong historical knowledge of program events to suggest courses of action.
  • Coordination with the NAVFAC SW Performance Assessment Branch Head as necessary.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge and use of Primavera P6 (version 17 is desired) scheduling software and scheduling concepts.
  • Proactive in obtaining critical information from multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of quality control processes related to construction projects.
  • Ability to prepare meeting agendas, coordinate meetings, and drive the development of action items and resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Navfac highly desirable.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Salary Range: $96,400.00 - $168,700.00 annually
