Position Summary

As a Distinguished Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that orchestrate cutting-edge machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence technologies across our expansive networks of US stores and eCommerce platforms. From improving in-store service tools to advancing our merchant and advertising technologies, your work will directly enhance the shopping experience for customers whether they are online, on our app, or in the stores themselves.

What You'll Do

You will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models and algorithms that dramatically boost the relevance and effectiveness of our advertising products. Your role involves:

• Leading the research and development of innovative machine learning and AI technologies, including GenAI.
• Handling large-scale e-commerce datasets with distributed computing platforms to mine insights and optimize business outcomes.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, system engineers, and other key stakeholders to deliver impactful models into production.
• Communicating complex data insights both internally and externally to drive strategic decisions.

What You'll Bring

Your expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning will be essential, along with:

• Strong experience in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.
• Proven leadership in guiding data science teams and mentoring junior scientists.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and model building on large datasets.
• Relevant advanced degree focused heavily on computational sciences.
• Background in sectors like online advertising or e-commerce is highly regarded.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights.
