Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will verify that the request aligns with requirements and assess the suitability of data sets. You will convert data requests from the modeling team, regulator, or monitoring and back-testing team into code or provide clear instructions to developers. Creating extensive SQL scripts, dealing with large volumes of historical data from a broad spectrum of sources, some of which may have been decommissioned or poorly documented. Your experience allows you to navigate such an environment independently and professionally.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or Honours Degree in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, physics) is preferred
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• A background in the banking/finance industry
• Familiarity with credit risk modeling
• At least two years of experience writing database queries and handling data merging, cleaning, and processing
• Proficiency in SQL, and experience with Python is a plus
• The ability to articulate solutions and provide comprehensive documentation of all steps, ensuring the datasets are not just usable, but sustainable
