Purpose and Objectives

As an Associate AI Scientist / AI Scientist, you'll work with a team of AI developers, data engineers, dev-ops engineers, and architects dedicated to building top-notch AI products. You will work within set timelines and your success will be measured by your ability to deliver high-performance AI solutions.

Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for the AI Scientist role.

Expectations and Tasks

• Push the boundaries of artificial intelligence and machine learning to create new solutions
• Explore, understand, and implement the latest technologies for data science problems
• Handle multi-terabyte data sets in scale-up and scale-out environments
• Strive for highly accurate and scalable data science models
• Understand business processes to select the best approaches and assess business relevance
• Ensure system excellence through continuous evaluation and refinement
• Visually communicate the relevance of implemented systems and results
• Collaborate with team members, customers, and partners to meet business and user requirements
• Perform quality assurance tasks
• Solve complex regression issues
• Work in global teams across different time zones
• Quickly immerse yourself in new topics and development tasks

Educational and Experience Requirements

Required:

• Undergraduate or Post-Graduate specialization in Artificial Intelligence or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar fields
• 0 to 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably with enterprise software or cloud application companies
• Publication track record on deep learning, machine learning, large language, and foundational models
• Proficient in modern deep learning concepts
• Experience with machine and deep learning software packages such as TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, GPT, etc.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, Scala
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong desire to overcome obstacles and benefit SAP's customers
• Excellent written and communication skills in English

Optional:

• Operational knowledge of Linux distributions such as Redhat, Ubuntu, SUSE
• Experience in Large Language Models, Generative Pre-trained Transformer models, etc.
