About the Position

As the Associate National Project Officer at the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) in New Delhi, the successful candidate will engage in pioneering research to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational practices. Key Responsibilities

The AI-in-Education researcher will focus primarily on:

  • Conducting educational data mining to analyze learner behavior and outcomes.
  • Developing personalized learning algorithms and AI-driven content recommendation systems.
  • Implementing intelligent tutoring systems to support real-time learning.
  • Collaborating with global educational researchers to evaluate AI’s impact on educational methodologies.
  • Ensuring ethical AI practices in educational settings.
  • Continuously improving AI functionalities based on iterative feedback.
  • Advancing AI literacy through new educational initiatives and content development.
  • Documenting and reporting on AI research findings and methodologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

An advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) in Education, Educational Technology, AI in Education, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of two years of relevant experience in AI applications in educational settings. Applicants should possess strong skills in AI algorithm design, educational technology research, and data analytics. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Desirable Qualifications

A Ph.D. in a relevant field, experience in educational or EdTech industries, and knowledge of other UNESCO official languages will be considered an asset.

Benefits and Entitlements

UNESCO offers a competitive salary package including health insurance and pension plan contributions, annual leave, and other benefits. The annual base salary for this level is approximately INR 1,751,502, negotiable based on experience.
