Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to handle large volumes of data from diverse sources.
• Implement and optimize distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink for efficient big data processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver innovative solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues, enhancing reliability and efficiency.

Data Warehousing

• Design dimensional data models and database schemas optimized for analytical queries and reporting needs.
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows to ensure data quality and consistency in data warehousing.
• Optimize data warehouse architectures and indexing strategies for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Engage with business analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python and SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
• Experience in designing and implementing dimensional data models for data warehousing.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration techniques.

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for understanding complex data requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders.

Communication and Collaboration

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional team environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like OBIEE, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Relevant certification or training in data engineering and data warehousing technologies.
