In order to improve the quality and efficiency of care, top priorities for the institution, the HUG Management is launching a large-scale coordinated deployment of clinical pathways in hospital and ambulatory services. The operation, named DéCLIC, involves a systematic loop of continuous quality improvement of care, focusing on the needs identified by medical and nursing staff as well as patients. This project is coordinated with the institutional program "clinical indicators" which consists of identifying and developing clinical indicators and making them available through dashboards and automated reports, and the DynamO program which aims to promote quality management by structuring review sessions of these indicators at the level of care units, services, and departments.

As part of this deployment, the DéCLIC project team of the strategic plan Vision 20+5 and the clinical indicators and DynamO programs are recruiting a Business Intelligence engineer for a two-year mandate.

Job Description

You will join a high-level multidisciplinary project team composed of computer scientists, specialist doctors, nursing staff, administrative staff, and data managers, whose mission is to develop decision-making computer tools while participating in the continuous improvement of the quality of care in the context of the institutional projects DéCLIC and DynamO. You will therefore have a direct impact on the improvement of the quality and safety of patient care.

Reporting both to the Unified Decisional Sector of the Decisional Information Service of the Finance Department and the Quality of Care Service at the Medical and Quality Department, you will design, develop and maintain decision-making computer tools for the management of continuous quality improvement of care and operational processes.

Your rigor and organization allow you to take charge of the development, management, and maintenance of the institutional data warehouse (DWI) domains while producing dashboards and clinical, activity, flow, financial indicator reports according to periodically identified needs and ensuring they are provided to designated users.

Your team spirit and your interpersonal skills enable you to easily collaborate with clinical teams and the referents of the institutional programs of clinical indicators, DynamO, and DéCLIC, Understanding their needs and achieving their indicators.

You love to share by leading user experience (UX) workshops to optimize the ergonomics of interfaces, reports, and indicator visualization.

Thanks to your ability to listen, analyze and synthesize, you support teams in the analysis of data and the identification of potential improvement areas and the definition of the resulting action plans.

You manage exchanges with users and track development requests.

Your ability to adapt also allows you to assume any specific mandate entrusted by the project leaders, and you show a motivation to put your technical and organizational skills at the service of a cross-cutting continuous improvement project in care.

Qualifications

You have a Master's level education in the field of computer science or an equivalent training, completed by a specialization in hospital information systems management with solid experience in information reporting.

You have solid practical experience of at least 5 years in the development of IT solutions within a decision-making information system. You have developed proven expertise in data warehouse modeling techniques, in a data extraction software () as well as in SQL, Oracle and Windows. ETL Genio, Qlikiview, Business Objects expertise is an advantage.

You are independent, have good conceptualization skills and a knowledge of the HERMES project management method.

You enjoy creating added value in visualization of information and clinical indicators.

You have a thorough knowledge of the hospital environment supplemented by basic training in the field.

You demonstrate good interpersonal skills with stakeholders with varied issues, such as heads of service, administrators, care managers, medical and nursing staff and administrative teams.
