About the Role
As a pivotal member of our Computer Vision team, your role will involve unraveling the complexities hidden within radiological and medical image data. Your expertise will contribute directly to smart, data-driven decision-making processes that enhance our clinical services. This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in computer vision technologies, particularly within healthcare environments such as handling CT, MRI, and Digital Pathology images.
In this senior role, you will be tasked with leading efforts in exploratory data analysis, data mining, statistical and radiomics analysis, and the creation of AI-driven models and products. These include innovative prediction systems, classification tools, and detection mechanisms, all aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of advanced machine learning and deep learning models predominantly targeting image and 3D/time-variant datasets.
- Designing technology solutions and defining project requirements.
- Efficient retrieval and querying of data from sophisticated distributed database architectures.
- Executing exploratory data analysis on extensive clinical databases and integrating multifaceted data sources.
- Managing deadlines for both personal and team-based research studies.
- Effective data visualization and reporting of results to stakeholder groups.
- Applying data-driven approaches for knowledge derivation and decision support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and Italian.
- Proficient understanding and practical application of deep learning models tailored to image segmentation, classification, and detection.
- Strong foundation in machine learning techniques and algorithms, including but not limited to k-NN, Naive Bayes, and Random Forests.
- Proven ability in applied statistics.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, alongside extensive programming skills.
- Experience with major cloud services like GCP and AWS, and familiarity with distributed computing landscapes.
- Demonstrable experience with data science frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
- Knowledge in data visualization tools including Plotly, Seaborn, and Matplotlib.
- Master's degree in a STEM field (PhD preferred).
