Your Role Summer is hiring a Data Analyst to generate insights across the entire company. Data is at the heart of our loan algorithms and our business decisions. This role involves cross-team collaboration to transform data into actionable strategies. In this role, your activities will include: - Designing and building frameworks and tools to facilitate data-driven decisions - Segmenting student loan borrowers to understand motivations and use cases - Supporting calculations for loan repayment scenario modeling - Identifying patterns in user behavior that point to product opportunities - Collaborating with the marketing team to optimize our acquisition funnel - Collaborating with the engineering team to maintain consistent data collection across web, app, and API sources - Promoting a culture of experimentation that tests, measures, and improves quickly - Building dashboards that democratize data and empower colleagues to monitor key metrics - Having a direct and significant effect on a data-driven organization breaking down barriers to higher education. Recommended Experience We're looking for someone who has: - A degree in a quantitive field and 3+ years of experience in data analytics - Understanding of A/B testing methodologies - Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization - Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases - Experience in Python or other scripting languages - Proficiency with business intelligence tools - Startup and/or finance experience as a plus Finally, we're excited to work with teammates equally passionate about using their talents to address a major social issue.
