Data Engineer Opportunity at Adani Group

Adani Group is seeking a proficient Data Engineer to join our innovative team. The role involves collaborating with Group and Business IT, HR teams, and Shared Services, alongside managing multiple vendors to build and enhance our Data Warehouse (DWH). This position plays a crucial role in data integration from diverse sources and ensures smooth data transactions through structured pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Data solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and offerings.
• Develop and manage comprehensive data pipelines for data migration from various systems to the cloud.
• Analyze and improve the quality and adequacy of data elements to support organizational insight development.
• Support data quality, governance, security implementations, and assess responsibilities within these realms.
• Participate in HR analytics projects, contributing to successful implementations and the day-to-day operational delivery, identifying potential issues and risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Design and develop GCP infrastructure to align with HR business requirements and strategic goals.
• Deploy analytics models on GCP, integrating them with both operational and strategic reporting to enhance business operations.
• Ensure high uptime and optimal performance of the Data Warehouse, supporting its architectural and system design needs.
• Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to understand their data requirements and support them with high-quality data.

Educational Qualifications:

A Graduate or Post Graduate degree with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience with databases and data warehouses and at least one ETL system.
• Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably in AWS or GCP, and familiar with Google Cloud products like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Composer.
• Proficient in Python for developing data ingestion pipelines.
• Experience in building both batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines on Google Cloud.
• Understanding of HR Management Information Systems (MIS) is preferable.
• Knowledge of machine learning, model building, and deployment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with process automation and data quality frameworks is desirable.
• Experience in Data Management, Master Data Management, and Data Governance is a plus.
