Your Role as a Data Engineer

Reporting directly to the Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the development and optimization of our data architectures and pipelines to bolster data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data extraction and integration into our Data Lake.
• Optimizing data management practices in collaboration with central IT departments for enhanced data transformation and loading processes.
• Analyzing and upgrading current architectures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Designing and implementing advanced analytics tools to derive actionable insights on key business metrics such as customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
• Creating and supporting data tools for the analytics and data scientist teams to help optimize product and production strategies.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates should have:

• A Graduate degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Expertise in SQL, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, DAX, and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in PowerBI and familiarity with programming languages such as DAX, PowerShell, Python, Java, C++.
• Advanced skills in PySpark, Python, and Azure Databricks are desirable.
• Strong analytical capabilities, particularly with unstructured datasets, and experience in building ‘big data’ data pipelines.
• Exceptional project management, technical leadership, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
