About the Role

As a part of our Gas Services Operational Excellence & Risk team, the Data Scientist will contribute significantly to our Spare Parts operations. This crucial role involves optimizing our Asset lifecycle and Maintenance Spares through robust data analytics and digital solutions. You will collaborate extensively with Engineering, Procurement, and Commercial teams to design and deploy initiatives that improve process efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance productivity and capacity within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement innovative data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and growth in the spare parts sector.
  • Develop and manage digital applications tailored to project-specific requirements in the spare parts domain.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence tools like Robotic Process Automation and Natural Language Processing.
  • Conduct deep data analytics and proactive exploration, providing crucial reports that aid strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with leaders to boost customer competitiveness, integrating technical enhancements and quality improvements systematically.
  • Work closely with Digital Technology and Engineering teams to achieve significant product life management changes and goals.

Who You Are:

To be successful in this position, you should:

  • Possess a STEM Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Have experience in software development on platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint) or similar.
  • Be proficient in programming with Python and have a track record of managing complex technical projects.
  • Have a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong preference for experience in Business Intelligence and familiarity with Machine Learning applications or full-stack development.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of stakeholders.
