Role Overview: Wholesale Risk Analytics (WRA)

Wholesale Risk Analytics (WRA) empowers our banking, markets, wealth management, capital management, and credit risk partners with decision support services. We develop, maintain, and administer models for risk and loss measurement and produce forecasts supporting domestic and international allowance and stress-testing. Our team members bring diverse industry experiences, contributing to enhanced risk management capabilities and insights.

Job Description

WRA is seeking a passionate candidate ready to explore transformative model implementation and technology infrastructure. The candidate will work on the strategic GRA Core Platform (GCP), collaborating with GRA and Technology teams to meet business and regulatory requirements efficiently. This role requires strong technical skills in Python and PySpark, data analysis, and software design.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Adhere to software standards set by the model development team.
• Develop model execution code and operational functionalities for production models.
• Implement models in Python and PySpark.
• Construct strategic model infrastructure and prepare code documentation.
• Collaborate with technology teams to deploy code in production environments.

Requirements

Education:

• B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. / M. Tech
• Graduate degree in a quantitative or STEM discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Physics)

Experience: 5-8 Years

Foundational Skills:

• Python
• SQL
• PySpark
• Oracle
• Hadoop
• 3 years of hands-on experience with Python and PySpark
• 2 years of experience with databases such as Oracle, Hadoop, and HIVE
• 2 years of experience using JIRA and Git
• Proficiency in writing functional specifications for software implementation
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic software engineering and design skills
• Strategic thinking with the ability to use technical skills for solving business challenges

Desired Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Finance
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions
• Capability to document workflows and identify process improvements
