Job Description

As a Data Scientist II, you will enable analysis, modeling, and optimization by generating information products. Your contributions will be crucial in research and development initiatives. While this role does not focus on traditional programming or systems analysis, it requires the ability to create sophisticated analytic systems to support revenue generation, risk management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, portfolio management, and research. These systems will handle complex data challenges and employ advanced techniques, such as machine learning, text mining, and statistical analysis, to provide valuable insights.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll support the Model Development Executive in Governance and Customer Support activities within Global Risk Analytics (GRA). You will assist Global Technology, Global Operations, Global Strategy & Enterprise Platform, and Global Human Resources stakeholders with model development and compliance activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding Model Developers to adhere to their respective Model Development Procedures
  • Familiarizing them with various AI Model Policies and document requirements
  • Monitoring model development and performance risk metrics
  • Enhancing executive reporting on a bi-weekly basis
  • Documenting and refining operational processes to improve quality

This is an individual leadership role where you'll work across diverse teams and regularly interact with executives. It’s not a people management position but requires experience in building trusting relationships and handling complex processes.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Experience in Model Validation or AI Model Risk identification and mitigation
  • Familiarity with AI Model techniques
  • Experience developing onboarding/model validation processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to speak with executives
  • A degree in Math, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience in project management and virtual team environments
  • Experience working in regulated financial services and complex organizations

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the overall health of Model Development for our customer base
  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Facilitate the execution of data science projects in appropriate environments
  • Maintain Model Development executives’ governance and procedures
  • Enhance bi-weekly Model Risk executive reports
