Position Specific Description

Embedded within the technologically adept EverBright monitoring team, this Data Scientist role is pivotal in refining solar production estimations, ensuring superior data integrity, and crafting algorithms to predict and optimize future battery capacities for optimized Virtual Power Plant (VPP) dispatch.

Job Overview:

This vital role focuses on developing sophisticated algorithms and models to enhance various facets of NextEra and FPL operations. Ideal candidates will exhibit proficiency in machine learning, statistical analysis, optimization, and applied mathematics coupled with robust software engineering skills, particularly in distributed computing and data storage infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer advanced machine learning models and optimization frameworks.
• Document and interpret analytical results, aiding in strategic decision-making processes.
• Analyze diverse datasets, including time-series and large-scale "big data" on distributed platforms.
• Develop and maintain software solutions using R or Python.
