Job Opportunity: Data Scientist at Knowesis - McDill Air Force Base

Knowesis, a dynamic and forward-thinking organization, is actively seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team. This role is based on-site at McDill Air Force Base and provides invaluable support to the CENTCOM Headquarters Logistics Operating Environment (CHLOE).

Clearance Requirement

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, and U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Data Scientist at Knowesis, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:

• Building AI models using machine learning and deep learning algorithms to integrate with the Command Common Operating Picture data repository.
• Creating predictive models utilizing vast datasets and advanced machine learning techniques.
• Collaborating with Command Staff to ensure AI/ML workflows incorporate Cyber, Knowledge, and Information Management disciplines.
• Developing data ingestion and transformation infrastructure to interface with the LOGCOP data repository APIs and create AI/ML models for enterprise data sharing.
• Providing specialized AI/ML models to enhance decision-making in areas such as demand forecasting, global resource management, and supply chain optimization.
• Integrating AI and ML tools with the Command Logistics Common Operational Picture framework.
• Advising on the utilization of AI/ML platforms within the CENTCOM enterprise.
• Further developing AI/ML platforms based on CENTCOM Headquarters priorities, processing large amounts of API data from the LOGCOP Repository.
• Creating user-friendly AI/ML tools supporting logistics inquiries and visualized applications with minimal user interaction.
• Implementing integrated Logistics Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination disciplines to support Operations, Intelligence, and Logistics Processing capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

• 8+ years of industry experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis.
• Proficiency in programming, software engineering, and data science for developing specialized AI models.
• Experience and understanding of the LOGCOP Data Repository, JOPES OPLANs, and Service Components Readiness Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms and frameworks.

Required Education

Candidates must have one of the following:

• A Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
• Equivalent professional or military experience
