Job Opportunity: Data Modeller Senior - EY GDS Data and Analytics (D&A)

We're seeking talented candidates with strong expertise in technology and data, specifically in the data modeling space. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a leading firm and a dynamic Data and Analytics team.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Use tools and techniques to understand, analyze, collect, update, store, and exchange data.
• Define and implement data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and development methodologies.
• Design, review, and maintain data models.
• Perform data analysis activities to capture data requirements and represent them in visual data models.
• Manage the life cycle of the data model from requirements to design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to create optimal physical data models of datasets.
• Identify areas where data can enhance business activities.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• 3 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.
• 4+ years of experience in data modeling with tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, ER studio, Toad, etc.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Basic ETL skills to implement specifications for ETL processes, including data translation/mapping and transformation.
• Good understanding of Datawarehouse concepts.
• Optional skills in Data Visualization.
• Knowledge of data quality (DQ) and data profiling techniques and tools.

Qualifications for the Role

• A degree in computer science or equivalent, with 3 to 7 years of industry experience.
• Experience working in Agile delivery methodology (preferred).
• Self-motivated and proactive with strong problem-resolution skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a passion for solving complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in Software Development Best Practices.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Experience in enterprise-grade solution implementations and converting business challenges into technical solutions considering security, performance, and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Participation in all aspects of the solution delivery lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support.
• Client management skills.
