About the Role This is a newly formed team at Hugging Face and you would be joining as the mainstay ML engineer. The role comes with leadership obligations and the expectation to aid the team's growth over time. As a Decentralized Machine Learning Research Engineer, you'll be working in tandem with open-source communities while conducting influential machine learning research. Your responsibilities will include setting up alliances with researchers, identifying domains where Hugging Face's tools and libraries can assist researchers during their research journey, and collaborating with researchers to publish ground-breaking work. The role will be quite varied: in some scenarios, you may coordinate with industry or academic partners early in the research process and author papers together. In other cases, you may establish these partnerships at a grander scale and guide them to their final product. We're interested in individuals who are eager to experiment with different models and are able to ascertain how to make the greatest impact while working with the fantastic open-source machine learning community. About you You have experience in cutting-edge machine learning research or have collaborated and engaged with the research/open source community, such as Hugging Face, Eleuther, Carper, LAION, OpenAssistant or researchers at Google, Meta, etc. If you're enthusiastic about open-source research, driven by the desire to make intricate technology more accessible, and yearn to contribute to one of the fastest-growing ML ecosystems, we're excited to receive your application!
