Role and Responsibilities

As the Head of Data Platform, you will:

• Data Warehouse Development: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's AWS data warehouse stack.
• Data Modelling: Optimize data ingestion processes and build/refine data models to support analytics and reporting.
• Business Intelligence: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute the business intelligence strategy.
• AI Integration: Integrate AI and machine learning models to enhance development and improve decision-making.
• Scalability and Performance: Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the data platform.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, product teams, and other stakeholders to meet business needs.
• Data Quality: Implement and maintain data quality standards and best practices.
• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance the data platform.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing data platform team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• 8+ years of experience in building data pipelines and data warehouse architectures on cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• 5+ years of team leadership experience.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, capable of writing/debugging complex SQL queries.
• Strong understanding of data modelling principles.
• Experience developing Python or Spark jobs.
• Good communication and collaborative skills.

Extra Points for:

• Experience in supporting data transformations, data structures, and workload management in Database/Data Warehouse.
• Implementing Redshift and AirFlow instances on AWS architectures.
• Performance tuning of Redshift databases and implementing recommendations.
• Sourcing data using APIs from external systems.
• Building data pipelines with CI/CD tools.
• Working with global teams in a fast-paced, high-tech, and customer-obsessed environment.
