About the Position

ManTech is actively seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. This role is currently remote but is expected to transition to fully onsite shortly. Ideal candidates will be within a reasonable commuting distance or willing to relocate.

The role supports an epidemiological research and operational policy support program designed to enhance warfighter readiness, optimize recruitment and retention, and inform medical policies. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will collaborate with a diverse team of epidemiologists, statisticians, physicians, data analysts, and military personnel. Your expertise will contribute to delivering knowledge products to various Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import, clean, transform, validate, and analyze data in SAS, drawing meaningful conclusions to support decision-making.
  • Identify data integrity issues, troubleshoot problems, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Engage in data-related projects such as data standardization, normalization, maintenance, quality assurance, and visualization.
  • Create and manage data documentation including dictionaries, metadata, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform descriptive statistical analyses and integrate results into various knowledge products like dashboards and annual reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience with SAS (Base/STAT/Graph/Macro).
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, data science, public health, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SAS for comprehensive data handling and analysis.
  • Experience creating and maintaining relational databases using SQL.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical operations, quality improvement, or public health.
  • Familiarity with military health systems, ICD 9/10 codes, and U.S. military data or healthcare policies.
  • Proficiency in business analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI; and programming in Python.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this role is $72,100-$120,900, with variations based on experience, skills, and location. ManTech offers health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, disability coverage, retirement and savings plans, as well as learning and development opportunities.
