Overview: As a Dev Manager, you will be controlling the Data Quality & Governance team at Agoda. You will have the chance to spearhead transformative initiatives that have wide-ranging effects across the entire organization. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and maintaining cutting-edge systems and processes to enhance data quality and establishing an enterprise-wide data governance framework that empowers all data producers. As the Data Quality & Governance Development Dev Manager, you'll work closely with the TPM and development leads from various functional areas to help enhance our essential data assets and solidify our strategic approach to data quality and governance within Agoda. Responsibilities: - Lead a team of data engineers - Control system design and architecture - Advocate for engineering best practices (unit testing, continuous delivery, code reviews, etc.) - Guide the team towards the vision – both visionary and pragmatic - Coach and help the team grow. Always challenge the team to achieve higher. - Work alongside the product owner to provide technical direction Technologies that might help you excel in this role are: - Relational databases (E.g.: SQL Server, Oracle) - Object-Oriented Languages (E.g.: Java, Scala, Python, C#) - Big Data Tech (Spark or any other MPP, DBT & S3) - NoSQL database technologies (E.g.: Cassandra, Hadoop, Couchbase) - Message queuing technologies (E.g.: Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ) - Object Oriented Languages (E.g.: C#, Java, Scala) - Continuous Integration (Jenkins) - Performance and load testing - Knowledge of Data Quality Management best practices It's Great if You Have: - Proficiency with DevOps technologies and concepts (e.g.: CI/CD, Dockers, Kubernetes, Jenkins, TeamCity, and Git) Qualifications: - 5-10 years of experience in software development and familiarity with the above-mentioned technologies - A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership/influencing role: as a team lead, development manager, or architect - Experience working in an Agile environment and understanding of Scrum - Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English - Familiarity with the travel industry and rate system is beneficial We encourage both local and international applicants for this role.
