Meta's Reality Labs is on the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies. With our exciting growth from the acquisition of CTRL-labs, we are currently seeking experienced Research Scientists to build and enhance prototype machine learning and signal processing research in neuromotor interfaces. If you are passionate about harnessing the power of surface electromyography (EMG) to create interactions in virtual and augmented realities, we need you!

Role Description

As a Research Scientist at CTRL Labs within Meta, you will:

• Develop and refine peripheral neural interfaces using surface EMG technology.
• Analyze deep learning models and create new metrics for experimental datasets.
• Design tools and methodologies to handle rich multimodal data sets effectively.
• Conduct human-participant experiments to evaluate model performance.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks like PyTorch.
• A solid understanding of large-scale software application architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates who offer:

• A history of significant results as reflected by grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications at leading AI conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, and ICML.
• Relevant software engineering experience demonstrated through internships, work experiences, coding competitions, or significant contributions to open source projects.
• Proven experience in transitioning machine learning applications from research into production settings.

Salary and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $177,000 to $251,000 per year, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. This range does not include other forms of compensation, such as bonuses or equity.
