Join WHOOP as a Senior Clinical Data Scientist in Boston, MA

We're currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Health Data Science team, central to our mission of developing cutting-edge health applications.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy complex statistical and machine learning models to address diverse data challenges, ensuring all models are production-ready with support from data and software engineering teams.
- Maintain rigorous documentation practices within a Quality Management System to detail system requirements, model architecture, and training processes for SaMD applications.
- Collaborate across teams to design, implement, and assess testing frameworks for SaMD features, extending to both regulated and general wellness applications.
- Engage in research to integrate the latest clinical insights into algorithm development, working closely with scientific and medical advisors to uphold data integrity and medical accuracy.
- Act as a pivotal respondent to real-time incidents as the on-call data scientist, ensuring the reliability and performance of production services.
Who You Are
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of industry experience focusing on advanced mathematical and statistical techniques for complex problem-solving.
- Proven track record working with SaMD applications including impeccable ability to define requirements, document processes, and embed within a quality management system.
- Expertise in Python programming and familiarity with scientific python packages tailored to data science.
- Experience in analyzing physiological time series data, with a preference for knowledge in PPG, ECG, or EEG sensors.
This full-time role is situated at WHOOP's vibrant Boston office, and candidates should be prepared to relocate to Boston, MA if not already resident.
