Role Overview: Senior Data Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain a reliable and scalable data infrastructure. This role involves designing and maintaining clean data sources for business analysis. You will conceptualize, design, and develop data pipelines and services, contributing to our data platform as a strategic asset that drives business decisions across Wrike.
Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Own data assets and pipelines that provide actionable insights into customer behavior, product performance, GTM strategies, and other key business functions.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations using data from various engineering and business systems (e.g., Salesforce/CPQ, NetSuite, Marketo).
- Collaborate with analysts to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and driving adoption of data-driven decisions.
- Deploy ML models with Data Science teams according to best practices of the ML lifecycle, and improve our AI infrastructure.
- Implement processes to manage data quality, ensuring production data is accurate and maintains SLAs.
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines in data-heavy environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and advanced working knowledge of SQL.
- Extensive experience with Data Warehousing Solutions (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Vertica).
- Experience with Data Pipeline Orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
- Confidence in using Git, CI/CD, and containerization.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS and database architecture.
Desired Skills
- Experience with major B2B vendor integrations (e.g., Salesforce/CPQ, NetSuite, Marketo).
- Good understanding of Data Modelling techniques.
- Knowledge of Python Data Libraries (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Sci-Kit Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with Data Quality Tools, Monitoring, and Alerting.
- Familiarity with Data Streaming technologies (Google Pub/Sub, Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming).
- Experience building analytic solutions in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Experience partnering with go-to-market, sales, customer success, and marketing teams.
