IT Concepts is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to provide support to the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Woodlawn, MD. The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) needs contractor assistance to develop data systems, business intelligence products, and solutions, and to extend its advanced analytics knowledge and data science skills. OGC is requesting subject matter experts with technical expertise to support data analytics initiatives connected to OGC's reorganization and implementation of a new matter management and data system (OMMS), and transition of legacy LAWS data into OMMS.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance capabilities to deliver analysis and visualizations that are aligned with stakeholder requirements and OGC strategic plans.
- Design and develop data products to promote and enhance Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities.
- Develop analytical models including forecasting, predictive, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models to streamline and optimize OGC's legal services and operations.
- Create and administer advanced visualizations and dashboards for all OGC Offices.
- Develop analysis as needed to respond to executive management queries.
- Experience with data manipulation and engineering involving structured and unstructured data.
- Expertise in data manipulation, involving data extractions, data matching between multiple systems, transformations, cleansing, and loading.
- Ability to engineer and create complex research datasets through manipulation of typically large volumes of transactional data for use by operations research analysts, economists and statisticians in advanced analytical research and studies.
- Experience in interpreting results from statistical and mathematical models.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience
- Experience transforming high-level project requirements into technical tasks.
- Experience with data manipulation and engineering involving structured and unstructured data.
- Understanding of ER modeling.
- Expertise with SQL (preferably in a distributed environment, e.g., Greenplum, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with independently developing complex Tableau dashboards.
Clearance:
- Willing and able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
