Join Our Team as a Senior Data Engineer!

Welcome to the Financial Crime Lifecycle Management Tribe at Danske Bank! With approximately 100 colleagues spread across three countries, we are dedicated to delivering top-notch financial crime prevention solutions. Our team utilizes a cohesive approach involving a shared data foundation, efficient process solutions, and human-centered design. Currently, we are in search of an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Transaction Analysis and Models squad.

Role Overview

Are you passionate about data and engineering? As a Senior Data Engineer, you will face complex engineering challenges that require a proactive approach and a detailed understanding of data structures and software architecture. Your contributions will be key in advancing our technological capabilities.

In this role, you will:

• Construct and oversee ETL workflows and data pipelines to manage substantial data streams.
• Develop data models and structured data solutions to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Optimize data pipeline performance for efficient data processing and retrieval.
• Integrate diverse data sets from various sources, showcasing your versatility.
• Collaborate with other data professionals on data governance and development best practices.
• Keep abreast of the latest in data engineering technology to enhance software quality and efficiency.
• Participate actively in a Scrum team with an agile mindset.
• Contribute to comprehensive documentation to support knowledge sharing within the team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or similar fields.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, Airflow, and SQL. AWS experience is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
• An agile mindset adaptable to changing needs and information.
• Advanced English language skills and a degree in a STEM-related field.
