About Pharmanovia

Pharmanovia aims to build a cutting-edge, self-service data platform that extracts and aligns data from various best-in-class SaaS platforms (e.g., SAP S4 HANA, Salesforce CRM, Veeva RIMS) to deliver efficient business insights to management and operational teams.

Role Responsibilities

Data Architecture Infrastructure (AWS)

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and implement scalable data architectures to support various data sources and types. You will manage cloud infrastructure to meet data processing and storage needs, selecting appropriate database technologies, data warehouses, and/or data lakes.

Data Integration ETL

You will develop pipelines to ingest, clean, and integrate data from disparate sources, automate data integration processes, and implement reporting and visualization tools for data exploration and analysis. Your goal is to enhance data processing and query performance.

Data Analytics

You will build analytical capabilities to support self-service data tools, report on data quality, develop data infrastructure for AI/ML use-cases, and define improvement strategies.

Data Governance

Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. Define data ownership, stewardship, and quality management processes. Implement practices for data acquisition, storage, integration, and archival.

Data Security

Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA). Conduct audits and assessments to mitigate data security risks.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need extensive experience with the AWS platform, tools like Databricks, and demonstrated proficiency in designing and managing databases and data platforms. You should have experience in:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions on AWS
  • Programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
  • Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration on AWS (Amazon EKS)
  • DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and reliable AWS solutions
  • Support the long-term data management strategy for Pharmanovia
  • Define and implement key tools to execute the data management strategy
  • Design and develop data pipelines using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency through continuous monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Stay updated on emerging AWS technologies and trends
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation

About You

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Additional qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in cloud-based solutions on AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Service-oriented with excellent customer service skills
  • Creative and solution-oriented mindset with great analytical skills

Additional desirable skills include ITIL Foundation, knowledge of ITIL 4 and change management practices, and the ability to travel internationally when required.
