Databricks is seeking a top-class Senior Data Scientist / Data Analyst enthusiastic about propelling business growth by harnessing insights across Product, Go-To-Market, and Digital Marketing. Your main focus will be driving efficient growth by: Designing, conducting, and evaluating trials (A/B tests, synthetic control, etc.) to guide the future course of the business using statistically significant results. Running comprehensive analyses to understand specific aspects of the business (like step-by-step conversion rate on a part of our product portfolio to inform product prioritization). Generating and maintaining essential business KPIs and creating executive dashboards to track progress against company priorities. You'll be reporting directly to the Growth leader. Successful applicants will use their affinity for statistical analysis, business analysis, and business acumen to examine our business and propel Growth. The impact you will have: Enhance the efficiency of our go-to-market approach through designing trials, guaranteeing their proper execution, using statistical methods to determine influence, and providing recommendations. Aid in creating a frictionless product by quantifying, reporting, and understanding customer behaviors to guide the Product team on areas to focus on. Recognize business priorities, develop KPIs in line with these priorities, maintain these KPIs, and construct and sustain user-friendly dashboards to report on them. Work with cross-functional teams to consult, develop, and implement data-driven analysis and reporting. Facilitate efficient decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from numerous sources and organizing it into an accessible and actionable format. Organize the measurement of key results for annual goals. Update Executive Leadership and department stakeholders about progress on objectives. Be self-motivated, demonstrating ability to follow through on unclear projects with incomplete data. What we look for: Over seven years of experience in statistical analysis/data science. Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and insights generation using large volumes of data. Familiarity with concepts like product adoption, churn, cohorts, segmentation, funnel analysis, etc. Experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel. Experience with data visualization tools such as Redash, Tableau, Salesforce, PowerBI and/or Data Studio. Comfortable communicating with Databricks executives and department leaders. Able to convert complex analysis and modeling efforts into clear messaging. Experience in the enterprise software industry, preferably SaaS and B2B.
