Key Responsibilities

In the role of (Senior) Data Scientist within our dynamic global Digital Farming unit, you will be pivotal in enhancing the quality of master data which is crucial for offering recommendations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating model-based decision-making. Your responsibilities will include the design, development, and management of BI data architectures, processes, and provisions.

Your expertise will guide the translation of Digital Farming business requirements into IT specifications and tangible technical solutions spanning the entire development lifecycle. You will also define architectural components and interfaces, focusing on optimal integration with business processes and scientific principles.

Engage comprehensively in the product governance and development cycle, from drafting architectural documentation to assisting in agile sprint planning. Collaboration with product managers, engineers, solution architects, and software developers, as well as our commercial operations, will be a regular aspect of your daily activities.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in implementing data-centric IT solutions at global enterprises, ideally within agriculture and digital farming sectors
• Expertise in AWS cloud environments, DevOps practices, and agile software development
• Strong skills in database design and development
• Excellent communication abilities in English; German language skills are beneficial
