Our Data Scientists are situated throughout Klarna’s businesses, either in small technical teams managing a problem space or embedded as experts in cross-disciplinary teams comprising of Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and more. As a Senior Data Scientist in Open Banking, your responsibilities will include developing, evaluating and implementing algorithms that transform Open Banking data into practical credit risk insights. You'll create new credit risk variables and machine learning models powered by this data. You'll help make the Open Banking products and services blend seamlessly into the broader consumer experience, innovating new solutions when necessary. You'll be providing technical expertise and thought leadership to risk and product teams globally. And above all, you'll collaborate efficiently with a broad mix of extraordinary colleagues. Successful candidates need to have experience related to classification modeling, risk, product, or consumer analytics, and banking or finance. They also need to be proficient at developing predictive models using advanced machine learning techniques and algorithms from scratch, and be comfortable with using Python, SQL, and Git along with an understanding of cloud computing concepts. They should be fully versed in classical and recent machine learning models and algorithms. Communication, organization, and teamwork skills are vital, as is a university degree in a highly technical, quantitatively-based subject (such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Economics).
