Senior Director, Cloud Data Platforms

You will: - Become a reliable advisor working in tandem with our clients, from data owners and analytic users to C-suite executives - Participate and guide multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex use-cases across a range of industries - Handle high-priority accounts that vary from global forerunners to rising disruptors within our target sectors as they seek to modernize their data Infrastructure environments, create commercial data products, and operationalize their data assets for the use of artificial intelligence - Aid in establishing and broadening our commercial offerings within our primary cloud data platform partnerships - Evaluate existing analytics infrastructure and business procedures and provide advice on top-notch modern solutions - Design the analytical layer, construct cloud data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration tools - Work with contemporary tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, and dbt Who we are seeking: We are assembling a diverse team of talented and driven individuals who profoundly understand business problems and appreciate resolving them. As a Senior Director, Cloud Data Platforms, you will also be expected to own and manage your client accounts, manage specific engagements, participate in the general development of our practice and our staff, play a significant role in business development, and contribute innovative ideas and initiatives to our organization. - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience in managing stakeholders and collaborating with customers - Experience in defining data engineering and Infrastructure cases, creating proposals, and presenting to key stakeholders - Practical experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Microsoft Synapse) - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) - 5+ years of experience with relational databases and query languages - 5+ years of experience in creating data pipelines in production and ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data - 5+ years of data modeling experience (e.g. star schema, entity-relationship) - 3+ years of writing clean, maintainable, and robust code in Python, Scala, Java, or similar coding languages is desirable - Expertise in software engineering concepts and best practices and/or DevOps is desirable - Experience in preparing data for analytics and following a data science workflow to drive business outcomes is desirable This position is entirely remote; nevertheless, applicants based in Atlanta will have the chance to work at our new headquarters in Sandy Springs, GA.
