Position Summary

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the role of Senior Manager, Data Engineering in Woonsocket, RI. This role will involve planning, initiating, and managing information technology (IT) projects focused on data engineering and analytics. Key duties include:

• Collaborating with business and technical partners from across the enterprise to develop innovative programs to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
• Managing project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope, while assessing business implications.
• Enabling data-driven strategic decision-making and identifying opportunities for product improvement and new product development.
• Translating business needs into analytic questions and utilizing tools like Python, SAS, and SQL to access data and develop Tableau dashboards to track milestones and deliverables.
• Designing and conducting rigorous analyses of pharmacy claims, medical claims, and other data, and translating analytical findings for business and customer audiences.
• Ensuring high levels of data quality in enterprise data warehouses and source systems through effective data stewardship.
• Analyzing, evaluating, and testing the integration of multiple data sources into the data warehouse and remedying data deficiencies.
• Utilizing data modeling concepts to collaborate with Business, Operations, and IT teams, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Testing newly developed functionality to ensure the highest level of data quality upon delivery.
• Mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Analytics, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, along with three (3) years of experience in a related role. Additionally, the role requires three (3) years of experience with each of the following technologies:

• SQL, SAS, and Python
• Teradata SQL
• Hive, Hadoop, and Spark
• R Shiny and MicroStrategy
• Implementing QA metrics
• Functional and integration testing
• Tableau visualization tools, including scatter plots, histograms, and waterfall charts

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range for this position is $120,750.00/year to $240,000.00/year. The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
