Job Description
As a Senior Scientist in Research and Development - Data Analytics & Reporting, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to construct high-quality data pipelines powering analytic solutions. These solutions will generate insights from our connected data, enabling Kraft Heinz to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities across the zone. You will possess a solid understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, and reporting.
Role / Title
- Be a subject matter expert and leader for Research and Development related data science digital initiatives
- Be adept in Kraft Heinz data sources and Kraft Heinz business rules surrounding KPI calculations
- Facilitate Kraft Heinz’s digital transformation by endorsing a data-driven decision making culture
- Contribute to improving data science competency across Kraft Heinz
- Collaborate with Research and Development, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders on the design and development of current or new metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to support analytical and business needs and provide pertinent insights/outputs
- Owning and maintaining models and dashboards: monitoring usage, surveying end-users on satisfaction, making necessary enhancements
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as eliminating manual processes, enhancing data quality and consistency
- Deliver presentations to various teams, stakeholders, management, and leadership
- Focus on Snowflake and Tableau for all systems
- Support all Stage Gate and Portfolio Management Review (PMR) Reporting needs
- Baseline data tracking and score carding
- Receive coaching and supervision when required
- Stay current with the latest data science trends and technologies to guide the business team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field or equivalent experience
- Adequate production and processing knowledge in food science or related industry
- Familiarity with business acumen, Stage Gate, and Portfolio Management Review (PMR)
- Strong computer and computer application proficiency
- Experience and/or knowledge of data visualization/modeling tools such as Tableau
- Experience and/or knowledge of data warehouses for data solutions such as Snowflake
- Advanced experience and/or knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience and/or knowledge of SQL is advantageous
- Capability to work with structured and unstructured data
- Ability to make inferences or see trends with incomplete data
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Ability to simplify complex concepts
