To support the F-15 Hydro-Mech Authoring team, our organization is seeking a Support Engineering Data Specialist – Hydro-Mech Author in Hazelwood, MO This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at our Hazelwood, MO location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Position Responsibilities: - Develops all publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system or multiple sub systems include theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdown, removal and installation procedures and schematic diagrams. - Resolves source data gaps and inconsistencies with originator. - Develops draft illustration or provides art mark-ups. - Updates publication elements based on internal/external reviews, source data changes and equipment modifications. - Collects, researches and analyzes source data to include equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, task analysis documentations, work flows and concept of design to determine impact to technical publications. - Identifies source data inaccuracies and takes corrective action. - Validates source data assumptions. - Conducts peer reviews of completed publication elements for overall technical accuracy and customers format standards/specifications. - Supports customer verification reviews and takes corrective action based on outcome. - Develops, analyzes, collects, and stores various system support technical data elements and specification to evaluate and make recommendations. - Prepares and maintains technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/components. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): - 3+ years’ worth of general working level knowledge of F-15 tactical aircraft structural - systems, subsystems, and components. This includes the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces. - 3+ years of experience with or using either military or civilian aircraft maintenance technical publications - 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Bachelor’s Degree or higher - 4+ years of experience in either military or civilian aircraft maintenance - 3+ years of experience authoring aircraft technical - 3+ years of experience with reading and interpreting vendor data and Engineering drawings, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents Typical Education/ Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. High School + 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
