Position Overview

As a Sustainability Junior Data Analyst, you'll join our proactive Corporate Sustainability team. This vital role involves shaping and executing SGS's sustainability strategy, aimed at weaving sustainable practices into every facet of our operations. You'll be instrumental in developing comprehensive data analysis tools that are central to our strategy, enhancing our impact on crucial social, environmental, and governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods for collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing sustainability data.
• Enhance and maintain sustainability databases for continued operational excellence.
• Generate technical documentation and tools for data visualization to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Create detailed data sets for reporting in high-profile publications and indices such as CDP, DJSI, and Annual Reports.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support projects focused on energy efficiency, climate change mitigation, and human rights advocacy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields. Vocational Technical Education also considered.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in data analysis (desired).
• Strong understanding of sustainability principles.
• Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel, familiarity with VBA macros, and data visualization toolsets like Power BI.
• Robust analytical, problem-solving skills, and a proficiency in statistics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Fluency in English, with additional languages beneficial.
