The Role

As a Youth Care Worker I at AIS, you will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive mental health and addictions treatment for adolescents aged 13-19. This role involves implementing personalized treatment plans, providing support and education to families, and assisting in our clients' overall improvement in home, school, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional and physical support in a 24-hour inpatient and day program setting
• Engage in family-centered care while maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Utilize non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation skills to manage aggressive behaviors

Your Qualifications

Education: Undergraduate degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care Studies
Experience: Minimum one year, preferably 2-3 years, in direct mental health and addictions care to a youth population
Certifications: Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS)
Skills: Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills
