Opportunity Overview

The Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Architecture team is on the lookout for a Principal Scientist in Machine Learning. This role is crucial for architecting and developing intelligent features that enhance our enterprise SaaS platform. You will collaborate with a team of expert Architects and Principle Scientists dedicated to redefining customer experience software, enabling leading brands worldwide to interact with their customers in exceptionally personalized ways.

What You Will Do

  • Work alongside the Product Management, Engineering, and Research teams to enhance AI/ML models.
  • Apply your expertise in Statistical Sciences and AI/ML to develop innovative features like the Knowledge Assistant and predictive modeling frameworks.
  • Design and implement robust systems for moving data science and ML from research to customer features, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with Adobe Research to continuously advance AI model capabilities.
  • Contribute to the Architecture Review Board to maintain Adobe's high standards of software design.
  • Mentor team members within the engineering and architecture divisions at Adobe.

What You Need to Succeed

  • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in data science, AI/ML engineering, or a similar role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various Statistical Learning Models and statistical inference methods.
  • Proficiency in ML, deep learning, or statistical modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, or JupyterLab.
  • Experience with software architecture and database design in a large enterprise SaaS context.
  • A proven track record of developing and deploying AI/ML-driven applications on a large scale.
  • Expert skills in programming and data manipulation using Python, SQL, Spark, or other similar tools.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing technical team members.

Our Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role in the U.S. is $189,400 to $357,900 annually, varying by work location and candidate's experience and skills. Adobe offers competitive salaries including a base salary, an Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), and for some roles, long-term incentives.
