Capgemini is seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to enhance our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a Cloud Platform Engineer with substantial DevOps expertise, specifically in cloud environments for data migration projects across platforms like Google Azure and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.

Key Responsibilities:

As a GCP Data Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the development of cloud observability and automation, serving as a subject matter expert in high-visibility cloud computing initiatives.
  • Design and articulate solution frameworks for large-scale technology implementations, focusing on cloud adoption in both public and hybrid environments.
  • Implement cloud-based strategies for continuous monitoring, compliance, and asset management while enhancing CI/CD pipelines with secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Create and deploy a greenfield framework for optimal cloud utilization, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Leverage superior analytical skills to identify problems, innovate proactively, and translate strategic visions into practical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience with Terraform, cloud technologies, and software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, and Linux (minimum 2 years each).
  • Strong capabilities in Kubernetes (minimum 3 years).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, particularly in client-collaborative, data-driven environments.

Desired Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Experience with Azure, Google Public Cloud, or similar platforms (minimum 3 years).
  • Expertise in designing and engineering cloud-native solutions, secure DevOps, and deployment automation (minimum 3 years).
  • Familiarity with cloud security management or governance tools.
