Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you'll need to ensure that requests match needs and assess whether the data sets are suitable. You'll be translating data requests from the modelling team, regulator, or monitoring and back-testing team directly into code or adequately instruct developers on how to do so.

You'll create extensive SQL scripts, targeting large volumes of historical data in a complex landscape with a wide range of sources, some of which may be decommissioned or poorly documented.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree or Honors Degree in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative field (mathematics, physics or similar) is preferred
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in the banking/finance industry
  • An understanding of credit risk modelling
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in writing database queries and merging, cleaning, and processing data
  • Knowledge of Python, PowerBI, SQL, Matla, R-Studio, git
  • The ability to present solutions and provide clear documentation of all steps to ensure data sets are not only usable but sustainable
