About the Role

As an AI Research Intern, you will collaborate directly with our seasoned AI research team on innovative projects aimed at enhancing Intelligent Operations and Management within Autonomous Telecommunication Networks. Your work will involve tackling complex challenges, applying cutting-edge AI technologies like LLMs to revolutionize the telecommunications domain.

Our team focuses on utilizing production datasets in tandem with Domain Experts and Software Engineers to transform theoretical AI advancements into practical applications. Your contributions will specifically address network self-healing through fault localization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation planning using multi-modal LLMs tailored for general questioning, reasoning, and planning tasks.

Core Responsibilities

• Explore the frontier of AI technologies, including LLMs, for Autonomous Telecommunication Networks, keeping both an industrial and academic perspective.
• Lead the iterative development and validation of AI-driven software prototypes, while innovating and benchmarking potential solutions.
• Engage with Domain Experts and Data Engineers to foster collaboration across research and product development teams, aiming at the seamless integration of AI technologies into business solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates should hold a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing, complemented by:

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models and deep neural networks.
• Robust skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks like Scikit-Learn and Pytorch.
• A strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, coupled with proven problem-solving prowess.
• Fluency in Chinese (listening, reading, writing, understanding) is essential.
• Insights into telco network operations enhance your candidacy.
• Previous scholarly publications in prominent AI and computer science journals and conferences are highly regarded.
