About the Job: Huawei is excited to offer the opportunity for a talented AI Research Intern to join our trailblazing AI research team. This role is centered around Intelligent Operations and Management of future Autonomous Telecommunication Networks, a field that not only prospects significant impact on market and product development but also provides substantial business value.

As part of our AI team, you'll engage in pioneering research utilizing production Datasets, working alongside skilled Domain Experts and Software Engineers. A key focus area will be Multi-Agent System (MAS) technology - an integral component of both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Science, characterized by multiple heterogenous decision-making agents.

In this challenging and stimulating role, your insights from multi-agent technologies will be instrumental in advancing network self-optimization and self-healing capabilities, addressing tasks such as fault localization and troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and fault remediation planning within a distributed telecom environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Explore the state-of-art AI technologies for healing and optimization in Autonomous Telecommunication Networks.
• Analyze Multi-agent system technologies to improve task decomposition, joint learning, and planning, and enhance communication between agents.
• Research, develop, and articulate insights into cutting-edge technologies, proposing new research topics.
• Develop software prototypes utilizing AI technologies and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Contribute scholarly articles to external conferences and professional gatherings.
• Collaborate effectively with Domain Experts, Data Engineers, and other AI researchers.

Requirements:

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Computer Science.
• Proficient knowledge of computer architecture and complex system architectures.
• Experience with AI, especially in Multi-Agent Systems.
• Solid background in mathematics and statistics.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like Scikit-Learn, Pytorch.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to develop new algorithms and methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of telco networks is a significant advantage.
• A track record of publications in reputable ML and CS conferences and journals is highly favorable.
