Overview:

The Huawei Ireland Research Center CT Operations Lab is in pursuit of being a global leader in intelligent and autonomous operation solutions for Autonomous Driving Networks. With our strategic focus on influencing both market and product development, we aim to generate substantial business value through cutting-edge research. We're looking for a seasoned Senior AI Researcher to enhance our capabilities in network control and optimization.

Job Role:

Your expertise in AI will be pivotal in designing and implementing intelligent systems that shape the future of Autonomous Driving Networks. Working alongside distinguished industry experts and utilizing state-of-the-art AI technologies, you will tackle challenges in optimal control and multi-objective optimization, accelerating our progress towards intelligent operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify leading AI technologies in the industry and academia for advanced control and optimization.
• Develop, validate, and iterate AI-powered software prototypes, while evaluating alternative solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Domain Experts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to achieve strategic objectives of the project.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.
• At least 1 year of post-doctoral or industrial research experience in AI or ML.
• Extensive experience with large-scale Reinforcement Learning and Optimization strategies.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with major RL/Optimization frameworks like OpenAI Gym, Google Dopamine, or Google OR tools.
• Proven ability to develop novel algorithms inspired by leading research and open-source initiatives.
• Publications in prominent AI/ML journals and conferences preferred.
